Basket ball is played between two teams, each of five members. The main objective of the game is that each team has to shoot the ball into the basket placed in the opponent's side. This can be played both indoors and outdoors.
FIBA
Fédération internationale de basket-ball (International Basketball Federation) is the highest governing body for this game. The organization was formed in the year 1932. FIBA Basket Ball tournament for men and women is held every 4 years since it's formation.
Rules
1) Once the player touches the ball with both hands, the player cant dribble or move with ball. He should pass it to his team mate or shoot into the basket.
2) A player cannot hold the ball for more than 5 seconds in his hands. The ball should be given to the opposing team on possessing the ball more than the time limit.
3) A player should not dribble the ball with both hands on it.
4) A foul will be called if a player stands more than 3 seconds in the opponent's key area.
5) The team who gains the ball will have only 24 seconds to shoot the ball into the basket.
