Vada Chennai starring Dhanush and directed by Vetrimaran was released on October 17, 2018. The movie is produced by Wunderbar Films and distributed by Lyca Productions. Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah plays the female lead roles and Samuthirakani plays one of the key role in the movie. Dhanush considers this as his dream film. The movie is a trilogy and this is the first part in the series. Dhanush plays the role of Anbu who was an carrom player during his youth period and later his situations forced to move to gangster life . Previously Dhanush and Vetrimaran combo had made two movies – Polladhavan(2007) and Aadukalam(2011) which was appreciated a lot by audience and won lots of awards. The running time is 164 minutes.
