The much awaited sequel to the animated superhero comedy “The Incredibles” which was released in the year 2004 is here with a bang. Writer-director Brad Bird has struck magic again with The Incredibles 2, which packs quite a punch with a whole lot of comedy, action, and stunning visuals. The movie is produced by Pixar and distributed by Walt Disney. The film starts off exactly where the first one ended – the arrival of a new villain, the Underminer, whose only goal seems to be to wreck as many buildings as possible before vaccuming in all the money from the bank.
When the family of “supers” and Frozone fail to catch the villain, the heat is on them once again to go underground, or fight for rights and justice. That’s when Telecommunications CEO Winston Deaver and his tech-genius sister, Evelyn, offer the supers a chance to prove that they mean no harm, that Metroville needs them, and that they should therefore be made legal again.
Elastigirl agrees to wear a police-style new suit outfitted with a body camera, so everyone can see the true nature of her actions. The ploy begins to look like a success, until a mysterious new villain Screenslaver (who hypnotises people using screens) shows up.
Meanwhile, Mr. Incredible a.k.a Bob Parr stays home to take care of the kids – a task he’s really no good at – consoling Violet, who’s dealing with her first broken heart; trying to teach Dash, who needs help with homework; and caring for baby Jack-Jack, who begins to use his super powers with no control.
The film is a must watch: not only is it family oriented, but animated-movie lovers and action-thriller movie lovers will also enjoy this witty, engrossing and action packed adventure to the fullest.
