- Courtallam, also known as Kuttralam is situated in the Western Ghats in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu.
- The waterfalls is known as “The Spa of South India.”
- The seasonal time is from June to September every year.
- There are nine falls in Courtallam – Peraruvi (Main Falls), Chitraruvi (Small Falls), Shenbagadevi, Thenaruvi (Honey Falls), Aintharuvi (Five Falls), Pazhathotta Aruvi (VIP Falls), Pazhaya Courtalla Aruvi (Old Courtallam falls), Puli Aruvi (Tiger Falls) and other small falls above Five Falls.
- Main Falls, Old Courtallam Falls and Five falls can be reached by road.
- Honey Falls and Shenbaga Devi Falls can be reached by trekking only.
- Some of the places to visit in Courtallam are Gundar Dam, Eco Park, Children’s Park, Aquarium, Snake Park, Boat House and Therkumalai Estate.
- Many rivers like Chittar River, Thamirabarani River originate from Courtallam.
- Main Falls is about 60m high and is the biggest falls in Courtallam.
- In Pazhathotta Aruvi, only VIPs are allowed.
