Express Avenue is a shopping mall developed by Express Infrastructure Private Limited was opened in 2010. More than 200 stores are available in the mall in the total retails area of 900,000 square feet. Escape cinemas is the theater present in the mall.

DakshinaChitra is a museum located in ECR. It was established by Madras Craft Foundation in 1996. South India's architecture, lifestyles, crafts and arts are exhibited here. Cultural events and educational classes are also conducted here.
Anna Memorial
Anna memorial commonly known as Anna Samadhi was built in memory of C. N. Annadurai, a former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He was cremated in this place in 1969. A museum on C. N. Annadurai is also present near memorial.

Periyar Science and Technology Centre is located in Kotturpuram, Chennai. It was established in 1988. There are many exhibits related to science inside. Birla Planetarium conducts sky shows at different times.
