Anna Centenary Library

Anna Centenary Library is a public state library located in Kotturpuram, Chennai. The library is named after C. N. Annadurai, former chief minster of Tamil Nadu. It was opened by M. Karunanidhi. The 9 floor building in 8 acres land has capacity to accommodate 1.2 million books. Braille, children's books and manuscripts are also available here.

Fort St. George

Fort St. George is the first British fortress in India. It was built by British East India Company in 1638. Currently Tamil Nadu legislative assembly is housed here. St Mary's Church, Museum, Wellesley House are other buildings in the fort.

Edward Elliot's Beach

Edward Elliot's Beach commonly known as Besant Nagar Beach is located in Besant Nagar. The beach is named after chief magistrate and superintendent of police Edward Elliot. Karl Schmidt Memorial is the popular land mark of this beach. The memorial is constructed in 1930s in the memory of Dutch sailor who lost his life while saving a girl's life.

Valluvarkottam

Valluvarkottam  is a monument built in 1976 on remembrance of tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. He is popular for collection of couplets on ethics named Thirukkuṛaḷ.  All the couplets from Thirukkuṛaḷ are inscribed on stone in Kural Manimandapam.

Citi Centre

Citi center is a shopping mall located in Mylapore, Chennai. The mall  was opened in 2006. The total retail floor area is 117,600 sq ft. INOX is the movie theater inside the mall. Popular food chains MC Donalds and KFC have their store inside. Open restaurant is available on the top floor.
