Tamil movie Asuran starring Dhanush directed by Vetrimaaran is based on the novel Poomani’s Vekkai. Bankrolled by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Teejay Arunasalam, Prakash Raj, Pasupathy, Yogi Babu, Aadukalam Naren, Guru Somasundaram, Balaji Sakthivel, Subramania Siva, Thalaivasal Vijay, Ken Karunas and Pawan are part of the movie.
Manju Warrier debuts in Tamil cinema through Asuran. She was last seen in Mohanlal’s Lucifer. Asuran is the fourth film by Dhanush-Vetrimaaran combo after Polladhavan (2007), Aadukalam (2011) and Vada Chennai(2018).
